Warrior or adventurer?

"There are two paths to spiritual growth — that of the warrior and that of the adventurer. While both paths require courage and skill, the two result in very different lives. The warrior feels a duty to fight wrong wherever she encounters it, while the adventurer’s focus is on the journey and the goal. The adventurer would rather avoid evil or move around or through it, fighting only as a last resort. Given the difficulty of succeeding in business regardless of sex, a woman will be best served if she adopts the path of the adventurer and finds another path to victory rather than spending her creative energy butting her head against a glass ceiling."

Cat Commentary

A few months ago, a trio of kittens became regular visitors to my house. They're all grown up now, each different from the other in their own way.

This is Cream. She used to be the biggest of the lot. She’s quite aggressive when it comes to mealtimes and would always give out a low growl to get the other two away from her food. She pretty much keeps to herself and is surprisingly photogenic ^_^

This is Arrow, she’s the smallest and most agile. She likes to climb on cupboards and can even climb up the grille to enter the house. She’s timid and camera-shy, which is a pity because she's got the prettiest eyes.

Last but not least, is Cookies. She has a special place in my heart because from the beginning she’s the one who’s always around the house. Cream and Arrow used to come during the weekends but nowadays Arrow is always around too. Cookies is very expressive and talkative. She can get away with anything when she looks at you with those big blue eyes.

Quotable quotes

"You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking and don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And like any great relationships, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking, don’t settle."

Steve Jobs, Apple Co-founder (1955-2011).

Venus

I see fireworks, as Venus hangs low on the horizon.
